Federation to hear Program on DNA testing for Alzheimer’s Disease
We have an incredible meeting happening today and all are invited! Please join Fort Worth Federation of Woman’s Clubs for in interesting program about DNA testing and the early identification of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Sid O’Bryant, PhD, Professor of Pharmacology and Neuroscience at UNT Health Science Center will be speaking about his grant from the National Institute on Aging, that could be a game-changer in the diagnosis of early Alzheimer’s. By using a simple blood test, the primary care doctors will be able to tell if someone has early Alzheimer’s. The test looks for biomarker proteins in the blood to detect Alzheimer’s disease, and in previous studies has shown to be 96 percent accurate.
The meeting will be at 10 am in Bewley Hall. We hope to see you there!
