The Historical Preservation Trust was founded in 1973 for the principle purpose of preserving the historical and architectural features as well as the unique character of the historic buildings. Since its inception, the trust has provided more than $1.7 Million for restoration and preservation projects.

The trust is a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are therefore considered tax-deductible. Donors may designate gifts to the Capital Improvements Fund or Major Repairs Fund if they wish for their gift to be accessible for immediate needs or to the corpus earning investment income for long-term growth. All undesignated gifts are placed in the Major Repairs Fund.
